Admissions tests are administered in order to determine if an applicant is qualified for graduate school. The major admissions test is the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Depending on your area of study, you might be required to take a GRE Subject Test. And, some fields have their own tests: the MCAT for medical school, the DAT for dental school, the LSAT for law school, and the GMAT for business school.
